Obituary for Dineen Carol Hoagland
Dineen Carol Hoagland, age 62, recently of Dover, Delaware went from the land of the dying to the land of the living on September 6, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her father Harry C. Hoagland, Jr. Dineen is survived by her mother Ann Hoagland of Dover, brother and sisters-in-laws Jim and Nancy Hoagland of Middletown and Curt and Claire Hoagland of Montclair, Virginia, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins who she loved very much.
She was beloved by all who knew her for her strong, independent personality. Dineen would not put up with anyone’s nonsense. She fought through a glioblastoma and reconstructive surgery several years ago and was a fighter.
Dineen grew up outside of Newport and graduated from Conrad High School in 1977 and Del Tech as an LPN the following year. She worked for several years at Delaware Hospital in Wilmington and later at Christina Hospital in the post-natal units. She moved to Virginia in 1986 and worked for a doctor’s office for a few years before switching careers. She later worked for United Airlines for 19 years, where she got to pursue her love of travel. She enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews and her puppies. She was a loyal friend to many.
