Newport - Ed, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
Ed attended Wilmington High School and the University of Delaware. He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. Ed was a State of Delaware employee for 20 years before retiring in 2008. He built model ships and enjoyed solving math equations on his computer. He was very fond of his walks in Banning Park with "the gang" and caring for his Dobermans, especially Toy Dog, Schnupp Cinni and Holly.
Ed is survived of his wife of 41 years, Joyce S. Wrobbel; his sister, Carol Johnson (Tim) and his sister-in-law, Carolyn Scott.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 19 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private. Masks and social distancing will be enforced along with a capacity limit.
