Of Newark, DE, age 81, left this earth to join her beloved husband on Monday, August 22, 2022, while residing at Millcroft Living, Newark, DE.
Born in Allentown, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rachel Roesser. Ethel May had worked in security and safety for many years until her retirement. In her leisure time, she enjoyed date nights at the movies with her husband, watching reruns of Quantum Leap, playing card games, and taking long drives. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allan W. Marshall and their daughter, Celeste. Left to cherish her memory are her 4 children, John (Kim) Marshall, Varina (Neal) Marshall Thorpe, Sharon (Steve) Marshall Ying, Paul Marshall; 9 grandchildren, Alex, Cody, Dylan, Eric, Noah, Elise, Audrey, David, and Cassandra; and 3 great-grandchildren AJ, Maren, and Scarlett.
Those who knew Ethel May know she was always thinking of others and never liked being fussed over. To honor her wish for a simple good bye friends and family are welcome to attend a short graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Pkwy., New Castle, DE. In lieu of flowers please honor her memory by holding your family a little closer and remembering her fondly.
