Obituary for Florence E. Anderson
Florence E. Anderson, age 94, of New Castle and formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her home in the presence of her family.
Florence graduated from Conrad High School in 1946. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading, bible study and most of all spending time with her family.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Laurence and her daughter, Cindy Jones.
She is survived by her children, Ruthann Johnson (Victor), Laurence Anderson (Terry), Joseph Anderson (Mary Ellen), Bob Anderson, David Anderson (Maria), and Kathy Hopkins (Rob); son-in-law, Don Jones; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Nichols - Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701.
