Obituary for James O Hall

James O. Hall went into a peaceful sleep on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Christiana Care Hospital. He was born January 1, 1937, in Moundsville, Alabama to Chester Hall and Mary Snow.

At a young age James left Alabama in search for a better life and a place to call home. His travels took him to many places and eventually to Michigan where he found employment with Chrysler Corporation. But little did he know he had one more stop before he found home. In 1986, James transferred to the Newark Assembly Plant in Delaware. James fell in love with Delaware and called it home.

He went on to work 30 long years at Chrysler Corporation before he retired on January 31, 1999.
After retirement he enjoyed spending time not only with his family, but his UAW buddies, collecting coins and stamps, sports of all kinds, walking with “the mall walkers”, and sitting on his back porch just enjoying the peace and quiet.

He surrounded his life with family and friends, especially his grand daughter who affectionally called him “PaPa”. Dad lived his life as an honest, hardworking proud man.

He leaves to cherish his memoies his two children Charles Hall of Tuscaloosa, AL, Precious Walton of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, also a grand daughter Tania Monae Anderson of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI; a long time friend Emma Joiner of Dover, Delaware; other relatives;and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
