Obituary for Mary R Taylor
Mary R. Taylor, age 80, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 peacefully in her home.
Mary was a true animal lover and had many beloved pets over the years and was a friend to any stray she encountered. She was a graduate of the Ellis Sisters School of Beauty Arts and was a talented hairdresser for several years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent “Pete” DePietro and Frances Nufrio DePietro and sister, Anna Smith.
She is survived by her life partner, Michael DiMauro; stepdaughter, Nicki Taylor (Adam Gould); Sisters in-law, Dian Taylor and Louisa Welcher; cat “Kitty” and several special friends and long-time neighbors in Richardson Park. Mary had an indomitable personality and left an impression on everyone she met.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to your favorite animal rescue.
