Obituary for Monica E. Ostrishko
Monica E. Ostrishko, age 80, of Wilmington, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the presence of her loving family.
Monica was part of the second graduating class of Padua Academy in 1960. She worked as a cashier and head bookkeeper for A&P for 23 years where she met her husband. She then worked for Krapf and Son Construction, retiring in 2000.
Monica enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and most importantly spending time with her family.
Monica is preceded in death by her parents James and Edith Aievoli; brothers, Tomasso and Dominick Aievoli; and son-in-law, Steve Koria.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Walt; daughters, Margaret Koria, Deb Quinn (Mark), and Kathy Dellinger (Chuck); brother, Nick Aievoli (Ann); sisters, Rosemarie Scott and Perry Durkin (Paul); grandchildren, Monica Allmond (Will), Kristi Felts (Steve), Erica Jenkins (Roger), Gina Dellinger (Joe), Ryan Barlow (Jill), Juli Dellinger (Justin), and Charlie Dellinger (Aly); great grandchildren, Andrew, Brayden, Liam, McKinley, Michael and Dominick; 15 step grand and great grandchildren and other extended family.
Services will be at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be private.
