Obituary for Noreen "Dee" Leptien
Noreen “Dee” Leptien, age 76, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2023.
Dee graduated from Conrad High School in 1964. She worked for American General Insurance for many years and then Diagnostic Imaging before retiring in 2008.
Dee enjoyed the beach, animals, and country line dancing. She liked going to craft shows and was an amazing artist. She was quiet, strong, giving and selfless. She also loved going to her grandchildren's events. She was an amazing mother and grandmother.
Dee is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, George Leptien, who passed in December 2022; and her parents, Harlon and Dorothy Wiggins.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Selhorst (Erich); son, David Riddell (Amy); step-daughter, Crystal Leptien (Kenneth Johnson); step-son, Troy Leptien (Michelle); brother, Kenneth Wiggins (Susan); grandchildren, Jordan Eldreth (Jonathan), Mackenzi Selhorst, Nicholas Riddell, Abbygayle Riddell, Mackenzie Ann Crist, Dakota Johnson, Kaymaurri Johnson, and Kody Leptien; and best friend and “sister” Joanne Conner (Kevin).
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
