Robert "Bob" Hagerty

Newark - Bob, age 59, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Bob was a graduate of Christiana High School. He was a US Army veteran. Bob was one of the original 100 employees of MBNA where he retired from. He was a longtime member of Aetna Fire Company.

Bob enjoyed collecting memorabilia.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Keene Hagerty.

Survivors include his mother, Marion Hagerty; his "Other Half", Linda C. Boyer and her children Jacqueline Maybroda (George) and Christopher Boyer (Dawn Magaw); his grandchildren, Jaxon, Zenek, Zane, Julia and Alysha Maybroda and Alyssa, Kaydria and Hunter Boyer

Funeral services will be private.

Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder P.O. Box 148, Newark, DE 19715 or to send flowers for the private service please have your florist contact Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home for delivery instructions.

Rob was my friend for many years. He was a childhood friend growing up in Newark and Green leaf manor. We shall all miss him .
We will all meet later. My God rest his soul.

I remember Bob so well from Aetna. We had a lot of fun at station 8,especially back when he was a "Probie." I haven't seen him recently.

I went to school with Bob and new him well however, I have not seen him in many years. My condolences to the family and friends of Bob. We shared many good times going to school and outside of school. RIP my friend...

We will miss Bob, as we knew him from the theater years ago and are members of the fire company Aetna. Bob was a lot of fun to be around.He can meet up with George his theater boss and another member of Aetna. We are losing a great guy.
