Obituary for Robert “Bob” L Evely Jr
Robert “Bob” L. Evely, Jr, age 75, of Wilmington left us in God’s hands on Monday, December 26, 2022.
Bob was a Vietnam veteran and worked at CSX railroad for 37 years. He was a member of Richardson Park United Methodist Church where he volunteered . He cooked Thanksgiving dinner and free lunches on Thursdays for many years. Bob also volunteered at the VA Medical Center as an escort.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Louise Evely and his brother, Jim Evely.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kathleen Evely; his son, Robert L. Evely, III (Christa); stepdaughter, Christina Lopresti; grandchildren, Jaimee Thomas (Jason), Stephen Navert and Nikki Navert; and great grandchildren, Payton Singleton with whom he liked spending time with, Conner Morgan, Jay Thomas, and Declan Navert.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at RICHARDSON PARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 11 N Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 9 am. Burial will be private.
