Obituary for Robin R. “Bob” Yarnall

Robin R. “Bob” Yarnall, age 79, of Wilmington and Bethany Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Bob was born in Chester, PA and moved to Delaware after marriage. He served in the Navy where he retired as Master Staff Sgt. Then, from 1964 to 1978 he served in the Navy Reserves and served in the Air Force Reserves until ending his Military duty in 2003. Bob worked as an HVAC Mechanic at the University of Delaware before retiring in the early 2000’s. He also worked in the Votech School System in the 1980’s. Bob was a member of Catalyst Church where he was active in men’s breakfast and bible study. He also attended Beacon Baptist Church in Ocean View. Bob was a member of Minquas and Five Points Fire Companies. He enjoyed yard work and the beach. Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and walking his dog, Shamus.

Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Kilpatrick.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Helen Yarnall; daughters, Stacey Baldwin (Michael) and Heather DiRubbio (Tony); son, David Yarnall (Sarah); grandchildren, Kevin Platt, Kelli Beeson, Ryan Baldwin, Megan DiRubbio, Anthony DiRubbio, Hannah Yarnall, Noah Yarnall, Isaiah Yarnall and Josiah Yarnall; great grandson, Bryce Beeson and a great grandchild due in July.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at CATALYST CHURCH, 410 Denver Road, Wilmington, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, January 20 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701.
