Obituary for Sarah Rae Wood

Sarah Rae Wood passed away Friday June 5th 2020, peacefully. She was survived by her daughter Hannah Rash, grand son Jaxton Johnston, sons Aiden Staker-Kemp, Jude Bailey, Gabriel Bailey, Rowan Bailey, and daughter Molly Bailey. She was a loving sister to Harry Wood, Maria Wood, and Morgan Pruitt. She was preceded in death by both parents, Harry M Wood III (07-05-19) and Christine Lynn Wood ( 12- 21-06). Sarah was born November 18th, 1981.

Sarah enjoyed many things but music was Sarah's first great love, and did many people great justice by sharing that love, and introducing music that has lasted those people throughout their lifetimes. Cooking was something Sarah very much enjoyed and she was quite an excellent cook. She was an extremely intelligent person, with astronomical scores in every academic thing she completed and could read a full length chapter book in a matter of hours. Sarah had a passion for helping others and did so fluently. Sarah attended Smyrna High school and obtained her GED through James H. Groves. Sarah had many notable aspirations in life, but nothing by any measure, surpassed her desire to be a good mother to, and for, her children.

Sarah was by no means a traditionalist, and in order to honor and respect her wishes, We will decline a memorial service, and instead will be having a Celebration of Life Party in her honor on July 18th, 2020 at her family's estate at 203 Hollets Corner Road, Clayton De 19938 at 4pm.

Please come join us in Her celebration. Any, and all, are welcome. We are asking if any individuals that have any photos and/or special memories they could bring copies of, or just written down thoughts and memories for a book, that is being created for her children and grandchildren, it would be sincerely appreciated.

Covered dishes are welcomed, but not required. There will be food, music, a bonfire, and a night of sharing great memories that made her the daughter, sister, mother, cousin, and friend that we all knew her to be and loved her all the more for. If anyone has any further question, please feel free to contact Maria Wood on facebook or at 302 241 5662.
